The Cantabrian Government distributes almost 5 million in aid to the industry that will promote the creation of 96 jobs.

The Ministry of Industry and Technological Development has awarded grants to the industrial sector worth 4.9 million euros, double the number in 2009. This is conducive to private investment of 70 million euros and will facilitate the creation of 96 new jobs and the maintenance of another 8,000 jobs.

The granting of aid, framed within the Social Partnership Agreement 2008-2011, environmental criteria have prevailed. The rate of subsidy varies between 3 and 12 percent in accordance with requirements that meet business.

The payment is anticipated in two installments, 60% upon grant and 40 in the first quarter of 2011. To reduce the lack of liquidity affecting business, no bank guarantee is required.

Investments, grants, fixed assets are used, ie, industrial sites, warehouses and buildings, machinery and equipment, as well as for ancillary goods. The aid is financed entirely from the general budget of the Autonomous Community.
